7-2001 had an engine head gasket fault which is why they are significantly cheaper than the MK2 911's (2002 onwards), this car has had that fault rectified. If you are going to buy a 996 MK1 be sure to get a good one which has had the fault rectified and pay the little bit extra to save yourself money in the long run
